Herttoniemi

Here in Herttoniemi, we offer a safe and nurturing environment for each child’s learning journey and want them to have fun everyday! It is important for us that children feel like they are a part of decision making in their own environment so we allow space and time for the childrens own wants and suggestions e.g. by choosing montly topics and elaborating on the childrens own interests.

We actively use Helsinki city as our learning environment by going on trips throughout the year. We are using local parks on a daily basis as well as trips to the library and we visit the local gym every Thursday. We enjoy baking and parties, especially for birthdays and cultural celebrations! Different cultures and languages are positively recognised and seen as a richness. Most importantly, our motto is learning through fun and play - by investigating, being creative and imaginative!
