Preschool education
Preschool education in Bumblebees Kindergarten is focused on providing children with a safe and stimulating environment where they can learn and develop. The main goals of Bumblebees’ preschool education are to promote the child's growth, development and learning, and to provide support for the child's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Preschool education is an important part of the Finnish education system. Our curriculum is based on the National Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care, which emphasizes play, social interaction, academic development, and experiential learning. In Finland, all children attend pre-primary education in the year they turn 6, which is one year before the start of comprehensive school. Pre-primary education is free and lasts four hours a day between 8.30 am and 13.30. In addition to pre-primary education, the child may participate in paid early childhood education that supplements pre-primary education until the child goes to school (see the prices). Preschool education in Finland is notable for its emphasis on equality and inclusivity. Children from all backgrounds and abilities are welcomed and supported, and the curriculum is designed to meet the needs of each individual child.
